I explained to him that it sounded unjust for me to have to pay a fee of $100.00 for the installation, if I had already paid $60.00 for the product itself. He started asking me personal questions, asking me what was my credit card number, and he kept insisting for me to go to the bank on the following morning. Then, he became to be very hostile and impatient with me for no reason, and he began to become more and more insistent with me, concerning the fact that he wanted me to give him the $100.00 he claimed would be for installing the Norton antivirus protection onto my computer. Nick Wilson told me that if I paid him $100.00 that he would activate the Norton Security antivirus protection onto my computer. And he told me that in order for him to be able to install the Norton Security antivirus protection onto my computer, was if I were to pay him $100.00 dollars. He told me the reason that I could not install the Norton Security into my computer was because there was a virus on my computer which was not allowing for me to activate Norton Security antivirus onto my computer. When I called this number, there was a technician that answered the phone, and he addressed to me his name as Nick Wilson. The instructions read for me to call the number 1-86 of Norton Security Antivirus assistance from a technician, if I needed any help with Norton Security activation installation. I called Norton to activate the Norton card, and I needed to speak to a technician for assistance because it was difficult for me to install and activate the Norton Security onto my computer myself. I called Norton Security because I needed to activate my Norton Security activation card to apply antivirus protection on my computer in order to protect my computer from viruses. Reamp studio11/1/2022 Now that you understand the basics, go forth and surprise yourselves! Reamping has so many applications, we bet you come up with something we haven’t even thought of. But at least you can worry about crafting that perfect setting later and just start recording. Here too, the original audio is still necessary for the player to hear themselves, for the band and engineer to monitor, and to have a rough mix from the start. In the case of a MIDI-equipped synth or digital piano, recording both the audio and the MIDI outs reserves the option to make subtle tweaks, select an entirely new patch, or even swap the synthesizer. In a way, reamping is for guitar what recording MIDI is for keyboard. Between either extreme you also have the hybrid option of applying digital processing to the recorded signal before or after analog reamping. It removes the need for a room with nice acoustics, a reamp box, or indeed a good amp and stomp boxes. #Reamp studio software#Taking this one step further, the clean signal can also be processed by software or hardware emulations, which are often very close to the real thing and in some contexts will work even better. Here again, the processed sound can be recorded too for convenience and efficiency, but having the clean sound allows for reamping with the perfect signal chain and settings at a later point in time. Bedroom guitarists plugging directly into an interface with built-in hardware processing can hear themselves with amp and stomp box on the monitor path, while recording the clean signal. The same reamping rules apply to digital emulations of amps and stomp boxes. This would not be the case when just recording the signal directly without real amplification. While this means you cannot adjust these effects post-performance, it would be a shame to lose for instance the movements of a wah or volume pedal, which are an integral part of the performance.įinally, as the feedback of an overdriven amplifier close to the electric guitar makes the notes sustain, you will still have those preserved notes in the clean recording. You can put some pedals before the DI box, too. It also allows you to play back a more realistic sounding track immediately after recording. You might as well put a mic in front and record this, too! Even if you don’t end up using this sound, it will give those in the control room (or playing along on headphones) a much better impression of what the music will eventually be. While recording, the signal also still goes to the amp and effects unaltered, so that the player and band hears the sound they’re used to. Address ReAmp Studios, 15441 Red Hill Ave Ste G, Tustin, CA 92780, United States. Contact the studio directly to make a booking. (ESTIMATE) This studio is unverified and cannot be booked on Gemtracks. For stomp box processing only, you would record the processed sound via DI again. ReAmp Studios, 15441 Red Hill Ave Ste G, Tustin, CA 92780, United States. In case you are recording an amplifier, you will need a microphone input to capture the sound. Simply using a line output would not work as this does not have the impedance and level required by an amplifier input. #Reamp studio pro#For the actual reamping, you need a dedicated reamping box or a reamp output as you might find on for instance the Zen Tour or Discrete 8 Pro interfaces. You put an active DI box after the guitar, which lets the signal pass through unchanged, but also splits off a version that you can route to your interface. The JCR takes care of your impedance, phase and connectivity issues, making re-amping quick and simple. The how is easy. Why use just one amp on a track? Why not take the dry guitar signal and put it through another amp, or new effects, and re-amp it? With the Radial Reamp JCR it is easier than ever. What do you do to make your guitar track thicker? Kusama obliteration room10/30/2022 Obliteration Room is part of the exhibition Yayoi Kusama: Look Now, See Forever, on view at the Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane, until March 11, 2012. The museum will continue to upload images of the evolving space until the exhibition closes in March. Obliteration Room is the first interactive project by the artist that includes visitor participation as part of its realization. Her more recent installations have included mirrored walls that reflect dots into infinite worlds of colour and space. dotted patterns have become a recurring motif throughout kusama’s oeuvre, nothing their relevance in her life at an early age, which she later came to refer to as obliteration. “I am just another dot in the world,” is one of Kusama’s better-known answers to the meaning behind her ongoing dot making, an obsession that began in New York in the 1960s alongside Andy Warhol, Claus Oldenburg and other major pop artists of the time.Įven then, Kusama was popular for saturating objects, gallery walls, and entire rooms in her trademark patterns. Called the Obliteration Room, the interior quickly evolved into a stunning and wildly abstract composition, showing off Kusama’s ongoing obsession with creating infinite spaces through repeated patterns. Within days, kids were covering every available surface with dot stickers. Originally commissioned by the Queensland Art Gallery in Australia, the installation consists of a completely white space fully furnished with entirely white furniture. Not since the Rain Room have there been lines this long outside of an exhibit, but Yayoi Kusama has done it again. Discovery Ships Erebus and Terror in the years 1839–1843, under the Command of Captain Sir James Clark Ross.īirds collected on the first expedition were described and illustrated by George Robert Gray and Richard Bowdler Sharpe in The Zoology of the Voyage of HMS Erebus & HMS Terror. The plants were described in the resulting The Botany of the Antarctic Voyage of H.M. They conducted studies in magnetism, and returned with oceanographic data and collections of botanical and ornithological specimens. Both ships returned to the Falkland Islands before returning to the Antarctic in the 1842–1843 season. The following season, 1842, Ross continued to survey the "Great Ice Barrier", as it was called, continuing to follow it eastward. The crew then discovered the Ross Ice Shelf, which they were unable to penetrate, and followed it eastward until the lateness of the season compelled them to return to Van Diemen's Land. Mount Erebus, on Ross Island, was named after one ship and Mount Terror after the other. In January 1841, the crews of both ships landed on Victoria Land, and proceeded to name areas of the landscape after British politicians, scientists, and acquaintances. After two years' service in the Mediterranean Sea, Erebus was refitted as an exploration vessel for Antarctic service, and on 21 November 1840 – captained by James Clark Ross – she departed from Van Diemen's Land (now Tasmania) for Antarctica in company with HMS Terror. Exiftool producers field and country field10/30/2022 1.1 How does it change/differ from the old model?.I've no idea how good Photo Supreme is - I tried idImager and found it to be bloatware and think that Photo Supreme has stripped away far too much so as to target the camera phone masses - but with a migration path available in just one direction then it's difficult to see how business lost by PhaseOne could ever be regained. I note that Photo Supreme is providing a migration path whereby an XML file from MediaPro can be used to immediately import images into their application with no data loss. If they were serious about MediaPro as an application then they should be providing tools to allow for the migration of image data from other applications. What this does show is the extreme short-sightedness of PhaseOne. Therefore my answer to your question is that technically it is possible, but practically it might not be. I have had a quick Google to see if I can find anything about the XML format of the Filemaker data and there are too many results and no obvious answer. Repeatedly adding a keyword can result in it being added multiple times to an image, so I actually use Exiftool to remove and then add it back in during a single command to get around this issue, with little or no performance hit. Also note that there are idiosyncrasies to using Exiftool. Also you never want to add data to RAW files if at all possible, DNG files being the exception. I do my bulk data assigning on XMP files, which due to their much smaller size, makes the process quicker. Therefore adding a single keyword results in reading and then writing a new file, which for my current camera producing 30MB files is a lot of data to shift. Note that if you use Exiftool on large RAW files then it is a slow process as it creates a new copy of the file, even if you overwrite the original. In fact this command doesn't have to be built by XSL but could be done in a spreadsheet, which is how I do bulk assigning of location details. The following DOS command, with Exiftool installed somewhere in a "path" directory, would add all the data from above into the file and would be visible when the image is added to the MediaPro catalogue, or indeed any half-decent imaging tool.Įxiftool -L -Countr圜ode=FRA -Country="France" -State="Somme" -City="La Boisselle" -Location="Lochnagar Crater" -sep ">" -xmp:Subject ="sign>memorial>crater>explosion>world war one>ww1" "E:\Digital\2014\2014 03 15\20140315-0257.dng" -overwrite_original There is another option which is to use XSL to convert Filemaker's XML into commands for ExifTool to physically add your data to image files. If I manually add extra keywords they get imported into the catalogue.Į:\Digital\2014\2014 03 15\20140315-0257.dng MediaPro would fail on import if any images were not available online.īelow is an XML file that I can import into MediaPro and which creates a catalogue with keywords and location data.It would make things a lot simpler if Filemaker could apply the XSL transformation when it is exporting. If you include the date in the file name then this is already present, making the file path the only mandatory item. These are the file path, the file name (which is part of the file path) and the date for the file. It would need Filemaker to export a few fields that are mandatory to the MediaPro import process. Technically it is possible to do this using XSL to convert Filemaker XML to MediaPro XML. I do not have enough knowledge about xml scripting myself to attempt to edit the file maker generated xml to behave more like the xml generated in Media Pro, but wondered if anyone on this forum has? #EXIFTOOL PRODUCERS FIELD AND COUNTRY FIELD PRO#Has anyone out there had to import xmls into Media Pro that has been generated from other software such as filemaker, Lightroom etc? I note that Media Pro only likes to import xmls that have been generated within media Pro itself. I have created custom fields within Media Pro to match the fields that have been generated in Filemaker. But I would love to migrate the field information via xml (as this seems to be the only thing Media pro imports) as there is useful information there, such as keywords, and file path. I would like to do this as I have inherited this Filemaker database, and it is not working for us because ultimately the field information is not imbedded into the files. I have an extensive image database currently housed in filemaker 11 that I am trying to migrate into Media Pro. Songkong license10/30/2022
Ms peregrin10/30/2022 Actually, I want to share this series with everyone, kid or adult. It's just the sort of story he'll want to read in, oh, about three years, maybe four depending on how he can take the clown kids, but he's never been scarred by the Mummenschanz mimes, so maybe he has a leg up. Let's just say I plan on flipping pages 92 and 93 super-fast.) Will Jacob and his friends decipher the prophecy and save peculiar-kind? Is the title a direct reference to the 1177 Persian poem of the same name, or is it just a coincidence? (I'm betting the former, and if so, what does it portend?) What does the photo showing a girl in bed surrounded by pictures of Elvis have to do with anything? I have to find out.Īnd WHY do I have to find out? Because the moment I started reading Miss Peregrine, I couldn't wait to share it with my son. Jacob and the peculiars are in America now, literally the Wild West of peculiar-dom, and I want to know what happens, creepy photographs and all (fans of the creepy will not be disappointed by the newly-released The Conference of the Birds. My deep dive into the world of Miss Peregrine has had to slow down a bit as piano recitals, 100 days of school, the science fair, and stomach viruses dominate my time, and I wish it hadn't. the moment I started reading 'Miss Peregrine,' I couldn't wait to share it with my son. Riggs' methods are as fascinating as his stories. What might he have dreamt for the people in my photographs? My grandmother in 1928, with her flapper dress on, head high, leg hitched up on the running board of an old car? My Native American grandmother, merely a blur in the background while the foreground is populated with chickens? A framed letter from some distant cousin, telling my great-grandmother in 1922 that another cousin Ida is lonesome in the country? What would their peculiarity have been? I tried to imagine the mind of Ransom Riggs, who, when he began Miss Peregrine, found the photos first and the story second. If you are anything like me and came to the party quite late, the Miss Peregrine series tells the story of Jacob Portman, grandson of the master storyteller and soon-to-be-revealed hero Abe Portman, his journey of self-discovery, teenaged angst, Welsh islands, romantic drama, and oh yes, time loops, ymbrynes, hollowgasts, Wights, and a cast of endearing (and at times quite annoying) peculiars who can control bees, raise the dead (for a little while at least), float, have two mouths, are invisible, shoot fire and see monsters no one else can see - all with the help of a generous sprinkling of vintage photographs, some creepy in their own right, some not.Ĭlose overlay Buy Featured Book Title Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children Author Ransom RiggsĪs I sat in the broad daylight, tearing my way through Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Hollow City, and Library of Souls, I found myself scanning the photos of my grandparents and great grandparents that hung around me. I read the first three books in two days. If he'd been stuck in rainy 1818 Switzerland with Lord Byron, and Mary and Percy Shelley and taken up Byron's challenge to write a ghost story, Miss Peregrine would have given Frankenstein a run for its money. What's on page 115 that prompted such a reaction? Cue the Mummenschanz mimes.Īre You There God? It's Me, Juanita A Holiday Feast Of 'Fry Bread'? Yes, Please!īoy, can Ransom Riggs tell a story. But page 115 was all it took for me to put the book away for almost a decade. Perhaps if I had opened the book to any of the 352 pages other than page 115, it wouldn't have languished for lo, these past nine years. SO, several years ago, when Ransom Riggs debuted Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, I bought it, opened it, and shelved it right away. Though I have since learned that Mummenschanz is a highly respected theater troupe, they set me up to be very wary of creepiness, and I've lived my life avoiding it as best I can. Right there in the middle of Kermit and Fozzie came this absolutely terrifying act (terrifying to a two-year-old, and shoot, maybe to a much older person) whose commentary on human interaction was COMPLETELY lost on toddler me, and set me up for plenty of nightmares. One of my earliest memories is of a group of dancers dressed in black, pulling toilet paper from where their eyes should be I was two years old, they were on The Muppet Show, and I have never recovered.
